A Brazilian photographer and visual artist with a degree in chemistry, Eustáquio Neves uses scientific knowledge to experiment with techniques and materials, blending graphic arts, painting, writing and photography through chemical manipulation processes that generate original juxtapositions and textures. In his works, he connects collective and individual memory with personal and social identity, addressing issues affecting the African diaspora in Brazil, denouncing the persistence of racism and documenting the lives of the quilombola communities, made up of the descendants of enslaved Africans.
