Canberk Ulaş is a Turkish duduk player who lives in Sweden and explores new sound lands, creating musical landscapes that fuse Turkish tradition and Anatolian, Armenian and Ottoman heritage with a contemporary perspective. In addition to his technical vituisism from the Armenian tradition, he significantly expands the boundaries of duduk through electronic extension. His unique artistic approach emphasises the elegance of space and slows down the passage of time, bringing melodies from the depths of history into the present in a meditative flow. On his latest solo album, released in 2024, Ulaş collaborated with leading Norwegian musicians such as Arve Henriksen, Eivind Aarset, Bugge Wesseltoft and Jan Bang, earning positive reviews from leading music magazines in Europe.
