The festival, organised by the social promotion association Rete Cinema in Laguna, maintains the idea of the previous editions of putting cinema at the centre by broadening collaboration and connections with the city and once again dedicating ample space to meetings between audiovisual professionals and future professionals. This year, in collaboration with the Swiss Consulate and Cinématheque Suisse, Rete Cinema in Laguna will dedicate a small tribute to Swiss director Daniel Schmid. His unforgettable La Paloma, together with his journey into Japanese theatre with The written face will be screened out of competition at Palazzo Trevisan degli Ulivi. The opening of the festival will take place at the Cinema Rossini at 9 p.m. on 5 December. It will be an evening dedicated to a great writer who has represented a great deal for the literary and cultural life of the city, Daniele Del Giudice, in collaboration with the einaudi bookstore in Venice and the publishing house itself. The Wimbledon Stadium by Mathieu Amalric will be screened, in the presence of the French actor and director. On the following days, the screenings of the films in competition (8-10 titles including shorts, medium-length and feature films) will take place between the Casa del Cinema and the Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi (7 and 8 December).
