Opening the 2023 Season of Musikàmera at the Sale Apollinee of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice is the double recital of the Roman Quartet EOS, engaged with the violinist Davide Alogna and the pianist Enrico Pace in the rare and splendid Concerto for violin, piano and quartet by Ernst Chausson . The concert, composed between 1889 and 1891 and dedicated to the great violinist Eugene Ysaye, reveals an elegant and refined taste, «one of the most interesting works written in recent years in France», as the critic defined it musical Pierre Lalo in those years. The EOS Quartet, composed by Elia Chiesa and Giacomo Del Papa on the violin, Alessandro Acqui on the viola and Silvia Ancarani on the cello, will also perform the Quartet n. 1 by Leoš Janáček, composed in the space of just a week at the end of 1923, and directly inspired by the famous story The Kreutzer Sonata by Lev Tolstoy, with a score built on the repetition, continuously varied, enriched, interwoven between the instruments, of a fragmentary thematic material, of a popular character.
