American musician Rachel Gould is one of the most mature, authentic jazz singers there is. A skilled interpreter and solo improvisationist, she will be in Venice to present the best of her repertoire, which includes jazz standards as well as original and re-arranged pieces, in a concert at Fenice Theatre on April 12. New Jerseyan Gould’s stellar career includes work with Chet Baker, Woody Herman, Dave Liebman, Art Framer, Sal Nistico, Benny Baile. She recorded her first album, The Dancer, in the late 1980s, and kept pushing out records that were met with ever-growing acclaim by critics and audience. Gould also teaches at the Musikhochschule in Cologne, Germany and in other top music schools in Europe.
