Beginning with its title, a play on the Italian word “ospite” that means both ‘host’ and ‘guest’, the San Marino exhibit runs on two parallel tracks to reflect on a concept that puts together different societies around the planet – all, at some point in time, both hosts and guests. The exhibition will focus on themes such as healthcare, dwellings, homes, inter- personal relationships, people and the planet, and it extends over two rooms: in the first one, visitors will get rid of any expressional residue of the outside environment that might echo on what we think we know about hospitality; in the second one, the Hospitality Lab will translate thought into action using inter-disciplinary project workshops.
