An original retrospective dedicated to the innovative contemporary Japanese architect and his projects around the globe. Taking as its starting point onomatopoeia, the act of creating or using words that sound like the thing they name, Kengo Kuma gives form to a physical sensation which expresses his idea of sustainable architecture, where materials are recovered and people and physical things are reconnected.
In his vision, surfaces engage not only with the eye but also with the other senses, especially those of smell and touch. The 22 models on display of some of his most significant buildings and the five-metre-high installation in the garden encourage visitors to discover the sounds of the various materials.
