A two-day convention at Terminal 103 on November 12 and 13, all dedicated to craft wine. At its sixth edition, Back to the Wine is an itinerating event. The choice of Venice pays homage to the city’s centuries-old history as a wine trading hub and, more generally, to its status as crossroads of different cultures. The protagonists of this trading convention are craft wines from small or very small producers around Italy as well as wine enthusiasts, who will be able to taste and buy great wine and local delicacies straight from the producers. Back to the Wine means back to the territory, and to its nature of traditional, cultural, and human meanings. A return to a vision that seemed lost, given the market dominance of conformity and bland products. Event host Andrea Marchetti commented: “Back to the Wine is a dream coming true. We work hard for the appreciation of wines made with the least possible artificial interventions, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. These are handmade product of the highest character.”
