Another travelling companion reconfirms its collaboration with the Teatrino: New Echo System, an interdisciplinary project of the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia, curated by Enrico Bettinello, brings Nils Petter Molvær & Marcel Vaid to the Teatrino for an evening born from the collaboration between New Echo System and Cinema Svizzero in Venice. For almost 10 years, Swiss musician and soundtrack author Marcel Vaid has been working alongside the legendary Norwegian trumpeter and composer, a pioneer of hybridisations between jazz and electronic music. Harmonising electronic and acoustic instruments, the two musicians perform a live show of original compositions accompanied by images from Swiss experimental silent films, selected for the occasion and exclusively for this performance by the Cinémathèque suisse.
