Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares, a world-famous female choir performing an original mix of Bulgarian tradition and modern music, will visit taly on February 2 and 3, with concerts in Belluno and Venice, respectively. Their fascinating combination of harmony, dissonance, and freestyle are born of ancient traditions – Saxon, Thracian, Slavic, and Iranian – combined in a unique experience for the European listener. The voice is natural, rather than operatic, and climbs up in form of powerful cry, rich in harmonics. These Bulgarian Voices communicate in a primordial language made of sounds and feelings. Their music has been acclaimed by artists such as Paul Simon, Kate Bush, George Harrison, David Bowie, Frank Zappa, and others. The concert programme comprises both their most famous pieces and new songs for choir and string quartet composed by Georgi Andreev.
