Venice is the place where you can be a protagonist at the Dance Biennale, directed by Wayne McGregor, to the jury at the Venice Film Festival, directed by Alberto Barbera, in the time of a month and a half. Such has been the case for Blanca Li, last year’s recipient of the Best VR Experience Award at the VFF, who last July presented at the Dance Biennale Le bal de Paris, an innovative immersive experience.
Venice Immersive, the Film Festival’s programme of VR experiences, has Li as a jury member, together with May Abdalla and David Adler. The three will give their professional opinion on the thirty participating pro- jects. What’s new this year is the addition of the Venice Immersive Market, a meeting place for institutions, professionals, producers, and distributors to meet and access public and private funding for the world of Virtual Reality production.
