To celebrate, tell and document this unique experience in the festival scene, the Biennale has published Dieci – Biennale College Cinema 2012–22, a volume that collects writings of key personalities in the birth and development of this project.

“Over the last ten years, we produced eighty-three A/V pieces, each with their produc- er-and-director team coming from forty-eight countries. To have contributed to the making of this art community, as well as to the making of the art, is what makes us the most proud.” Alberto Barbera and Savina Neitorri wrote as much in their essay La scommessa (‘the wager’) to celebrate the first ten years of the Biennale College Cinema.

The films we will see at the VFF this year are Come le tartarughe by Monica Drugo, Banu by Tahmina Ra- faella, Gornyi Luk by Eldar Shibanov, and Palimp- sest by Hanna Västinsalo. The budget of Biennale College grew considerably, too: 200,000 euro for feature films and 80,000 euro for VR projects.
