On the occasion of the eighteenth edition of the Giornata del Contemporaneo (Saturday 8 October 2022), the great event promoted by AMACI – Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums, and held with the support of the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture, as well as the collaboration of the Directorate-General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ca’ Pesaro – International Gallery of Modern Art presents Laura Omacini’s exhibition Le beatitudini. For this exhibition at Ca’ Pesaro, Laura Omacini wanted to create a new series of artworks focusing on a subject deeply linked to the city of Venice, which she has been documenting for years through photographs, sketches and notes. The scaffoldings, climbing around the buildings, with their veils and camouflages, are treated as a characteristic element of the city landscape, whose balance requires continuous care and attention.
In addition, the Ca’ Pesaro International Gallery of Modern Art will open to the public free of charge on Saturday 8 October, offering for the occasion a special itinerary dedicated to new-age visitors, retracing the traces of 20th-century art up to the exhibition Afro 1950-1970. From Italy to America and back.
