Myung-Whun Chung returns to conduct the Teatro La Fenice Orchestra in a series of two concerts – at the Malibran and at the Teatro La Fenice – that will take place as part of the 2023-2024 Symphonic Season of the Fondazione Teatro La Fenice in Venice. In the first of the two events, scheduled at the Teatro Malibran on Friday 22nd March at 8.00 p.m. (S round) and Saturday 23rd March at 5.00 p.m. (U round), the South Korean maestro will be engaged in the dual role of conductor and solo pianist, performing Ludwig van Beethoven’s Concerto for piano, violin, cello and orchestra in C major op. 56, which will be played together with the soloists Roberto Baraldi on violin and Emanuele Silvestri on cello. In the second part of the evening the stage will be set for one of the masterpieces of German symphonism, Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 4 in E minor op. 98.
