Two generations brought together: legend American cellist Hank Roberts and Italian trombonist Filippo Vignato. The two are longtime members of band Pipe Dream, and together, they released Ghost Dance in 2019 and the upcoming Adagio on the next June 14. On the next day, June 15, the two will perform at the Squero Auditorium as part of the 2024 Venezia Jazz Festival programme. Both turned creative freedom and crashing boundaries into the distinctive traits of their musical universe. In their latest release, they mix and re-mix their unique sound to reinvent music roles and gestures, hinting at chamber music, folk, improv, and more.
