For over a decade now, Giovanni Guidi has been an anchor of legendary record label ECM. His explorations and collaborations range from the lyrical to the improvisational, from rigorous fealty to tradition to more open, dialogic, abstract, and experimentational attitudes. Longtime music partners Joe Rehmer and Enrico Morello complete The Falcon, a trio that won’t fail to impress for the complexity and diversity of musical experience of each member. A ‘talented young man who had to grow up fast’, as he says of himself, Guidi is a much-anticipated guest at the Venezia Jazz Festival, and will perform at the Fenice Theatre on June 22.
