Born in Dresden in 1943, in former East Germany, conductor Hartmut Haenchen consolidated his musical experiences not only with GDR formations but, despite the severe restrictions of the regime, also with famous Western companies, such as Berliner Philharmoniker and Concertgebouw . On 1 and 2 April he will conduct the Orchestra of the Teatro La Fenice in the performance of a German romantic program composed of the overture from Genoveva by Robert Schumann, the Siegfried-Idyll for small orchestra by Richard Wagner and the Symphony n. 4 in D minor op. 120 by Schumann.
