A chamber ensemble of great prestige, the Hèsperos Piano Trio formed by Filippo Lama on violin, Stefano Guarino on cello and Riccardo Zadra on piano arrives at La Fenice on Sept. 22 for a concert featuring music by Schubert and Shostakovic. Among the compositions of Schubert’s last years and, paradoxically, not only among those, the Trio in E-flat Major Op. 100 D929 had the rare fate of not only being performed while the composer was still alive, but also of being published before his death. The partnership between the three musicians, strong in a spontaneous and natural fellowship, is based on the sharing of very different but converging paths of musical life, encompassing a rich network of solo, chamber music, orchestral and teaching experiences of international standing.
