On March 22, jazz pianist Kevin Hays will perform at the Fenice Theatre as part of the Jazz& programme. Internationally recognized as one of the most original and engaging musicians of his generation, Hays seamlessly weaves together captivating compositions, jazz standards, and improvisations in his solo performances. His impressive career began at age seventeen with Nick Brignola’s group, leading to collaborations with jazz legends like George Coleman, Benny Golson, and Sonny Rollins. Hays possesses exceptional jazz technique, allowing him to thrive in any context. He is also a master at creating unique resonances using layered rhythmic harmonies. Joining Hays at the Sale Apollinee are bassist Thomas Morgan, known for his work with Bill Frisell, and drummer Jeff Ballard, a modern jazz legend who has contributed to numerous acclaimed groups over the past two decades.
