Ballet nights at Fenice Theatre on January 10 to 14 with a show produced by Château de Versailles Spectacles. Presented last November in Paris, its author Thierry Malandain used music from two compositions, both known as Four Seasons, one by Antonio Vivaldi, the other by Giovanni Antonio Guido. The piece by Vivaldi is certainly the most famous. Each of the seasons is dedicated three movements, preceded by a sonnet written purportedly by Vivaldi himself. The virtuosity of the soloist is absolute protagonist from start to finish. Little is known, on the other hand, on Giovanni Guido. Born in Naples around 1675, he worked mostly in Paris. His Four Seasons will bring some fresh air to our musical experience.
