The script’s soundtrack, among the most memorable pages written by the genius of Ennio Morricone, will be premiered live on 29 June at Malibran Theatre, as part of the celebrations for the 700th anniversary of the death of the traveller and man of letters. Ennio Morricone – Marco Polo Soundtrack is a Zen Production realised in collaboration with Veneto Jazz and under the patronage of the City of Venice, the National Committee for the celebrations of the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo’s death, and Vela Spa, on a project by the Orchestra Regionale Filarmonia Veneta. On stage are the Cantori Veneziani, conducted by Danilo Rossi, first viola of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. An unprecedented production that embraces music, cinema and history, made possible by the collaboration with RAI, which provided the images, and with the Morricone family, which granted the original scores.
