The Auditorium of the Cini Foundation is the stage for Acqua Rotta, a concert for cello and narrator with Mario Brunello and Mariangela Gualtieri. Also on stage is “quasi-zero”, an installation by Gianandrea Gazzola. The event is part of the 2023 concert season of Asolo Musica, an event scheduled until December 16 with the artistic direction of Federico Pupo. The beautiful concert hall of Lo Squero, whose backdrop is an immense window that opens onto the Basin of San Marco, is the perfect place for a dialogue between music and poetry that sees the theme of water as the protagonist, felt and sung as precious substance, alive and, despite its many names, only one. The text of Acqua Rotta is composed largely of unpublished verses, written for this occasion by Mariangela Gualtieri, one of the most interesting and fascinating figures of poet, playwright and actress. The musical score belongs to the cello of Mario Brunello, one of the most complete and sought-after artists of his generation, who for this project combines the perfect sound architectures of Johann Sebastian Bach with the contemporary music of Sofia Gubajdulina, Peter Joshua Sculthorpe and the young Lamberto Curtoni. Project in collaboration with Arte Sella, Padua Botanical Garden, Valdoca Theater, Antiruggine.
