The 2022-2023 Symphony Season of the Fondazione Teatro La Fenice continues on Monday 8 May with an extraordinary concert by the Hadyn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, led by its principal guest conductor Min Chung. Born in 1984, son of the great Chung Myung-Whun, Min Chung was appointed music director of the Gangneung Philharmonic Orchestra in 2022 and is also associate conductor of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. He made his debut on the stage of the Teatro La Fenice conducting two symphonic pages of great charm: the Symphony n. 3 in A minor op. 56 Scottish by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and the Serenade n. 1 in D major op. 11 by Johannes Brahms. Conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Chailly, Jesús López-Cobos, sir Neville Marriner, Riccardo Muti, sir Jeffrey Tate, among others, have risen on the podium of the Haydn Orchestra. After the almost thirty-year leadership of Andrea Mascagni, the artistic direction has been replaced by Hubert Stuppner, Gustav Kuhn, Daniele Spini and Giorgio Battistelli (since 2021).
