On the occasion of the Easter celebration, Myung-Whun Chung returns to lead the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro La Fenice to conduct a program of sacred music dedicated to the religious holiday. In the concert scheduled at the Teatro La Fenice on Friday 7 April, Saturday 8 April the award-winning Korean maestro will lead the Venetian ensemble in the performance of the Eucharistic motet “Ave verum corpus” KV 618 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and, subsequently, of the Stabat Mater for soloists, choir for four mixed voices and orchestra by Gioachino Rossini, which will be interpreted with the complicity of the solo voices of soprano Carmela Remigio, mezzo-soprano Marina Comparato, tenor Maxim Mironov and bass Gianluca Buratto.
