A pupil of Halévy’s and his son-in-law, a close friend of Gounod’s, a standard-bearer of the new generation of Romantic musicians, Georges Bizet must be mentioned together with his teachers and contemporaries. This mélodie programme, a co-production of Palazzetto Bru Zane and Asolo Musica, pays homage to the music and the friendship Bizet shared with his fellows.
