The Cremona Quartet was born in 2000, within the Stauffer Academy of Cremona. The ensemble (in its current formation since 2002) then perfected itself with Piero Farulli of the Italian Quartet at the Fiesole Music School and with Hatto Beyerle of the Alban Berg Quartet. Cristiano Gualco on violin, Paolo Andreoli on violin, Simone Gramaglia on and viola Giovanni Scaglione on cello perform in a repertoire including Gian Francesco Malipiero (Quartet n.2 “Stornelli e Ballate”), Guido Alberto Fano (Quartet in A minor) and Ottorino Respighi (Quartet in D major).
