An energetic Tango Nuevo performed by two outstanding young artists, Kristina Vocetková (cello) and Milan Řehák (accordion). The program Pasión is a sprint through the life of the great Argentine composer and bandoneonist Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992) and presents his music in a passionate and exciting performance. Tango Nuevo, a genre founded by Piazzolla, enriches traditional tango with elements of classical music and jazz. Also featured in concert are compositions by José Bragato, Piazzolla’s principal cellist, and current accordion star Gorka Hermosa, who mixes tango with Balkan rhythms.
