Anselm Kiefer created a series of monumental paintings for an installation designed specifically for the majesty and opulence of the Sala dello Scrutinio. The art will relate to the thirty-three paintings on the ceiling and with the heroism that pervades wholly the décor in the Palazzo. Kiefer depicts a microcosm of collective memory and visually incapsulates a large range of cultural, literary, and philosophical allusions, highlighting the role of contemporary art in the reflection on universal themes. This goes beyond Venice and opens to the state of current philosophical speculations.
