Venetian artist and multimedia pioneer Federica Marangoni orchestrated, in the Sansovino Hall of the Marciana National Library, an installation of mixed media, video, and neon light that stages a conversation between sixteenth-century architecture and intangible technological light. This powerful mix of physicality and virtuality certainly makes the painter and sculptor (b. 1940) an avant-garde artist. This itinerary has been produced at an international level, between Venice, New York, and Milan, where Marangoni has been experimenting with new ideas, signs, and materials.
