An ancient abandoned kiln, now turned into modern space, is the perfect place for an ambitious exhibition that explores the infinite creative potential of glass. Renowned artists of international fame ‘melt’ their art in pure, ancestral material thanks to Murano master glassblower at Berengo Studio. The result is GLASSTRESS, a creation of Adriano Berengo that eludes Venetian stereotypes and extends its view to the world of contemporary art. This 7. edition of Glasstress, which is curated by Adriano Berengo and Koen Vanmechelen, will show works by Jimmie Durham, Tony Cragg, Monira Al Qadiri, Thomas Schütte, Vanessa Beecroft, María Magdalena Campos-Pons, eL Seed and Ryan Gander, among others.
