Fascinated by the simplicity and serenity that emanates from everyday objects, the artist always uses the same bowl from Belgian pottery maker Royal Boch. The bowl is the leitmotif in Laurent Reypens’ creations. The repetition of this element bestows his art with much-needed abstraction and dynamism. These flowers are not flowers – they are bowls that turn into flowers. Since 2014, Reypens has been working with Berengo Studio to create his art.
