A versatile artist, Michele Spanghero (Gorizia, 1979) found inspiration in Diderot’s expression L’esprit de l’escalier to compose an art exhibition comprising figurative sculpture, installation, photography, and drawings connecting in a game of ideal and formal tension where the use of sound overflows into the conceptual. By dissimulating and unveiling at once, Spanghero conceives layered art that show how absence and the impossibility of retaining memory.
Shape and thought verge towards one another and coincide in an almost miraculous ideal and structural tension, oftentimes showing poetic resignation in front of the impossibility of making one’s voice heard.
