Italian premiere for Indian-British artist Raqib Shaw (Kolkata, 1974). Visitors will be introduced to his transgressive vision on art by means of a film of fantastic, opulent inspiration and twelve paintings full of intricate details, saturated colours, and bejewelled surfaces that mask the intensively violent nature of the subjects. The exhibition explores time and space, taking the viewer on an autobiographical journey that goes from Renaissance Venice to modern London to Shaw’s native land, Kashmir.
