A large retrospective on Sabine Weiss (1924-2021), one of the most outstanding French humanist photographers, together with Robert Doisneau, Willy Ronis, Edouard Boubat, Brassaï, and Izis. The sole female photographer in the post-war period who worked for so long and in such different fields in the profession – from photo features to artist’s portrait, to fashion, to street photography, to travel. Weiss actively participated in the curation of this exhibition by sharing her personal archives held in Paris to help tell the amazing stories behind her work.
