Born in London and graduated at the ICP of New York, Indigo Lewin belongs to a generation of radical photographers who put the body at the centre of their research. Wayne McGregor hired Lewin to document his first year as the Art Director of the Dance Biennale, and she will present installation Artist in residence 21 – Exhibition, a collection of portraits taken during her residency. “Moving away from traditional dance photography, I wanted to take a voyeuristic approach, which resulted in a much more raw, intimate and honest representation of the event.”
