The Luigi Nono Archive was founded in 1993, on the initiative of Nuria Schoenberg Nono with the aim of collecting, preserving and promoting the precious legacy of composer Luigi Nono, since 2007 in the beautiful venue of the Sala delle colonne of the former Convento SS. Cosma e Damiano granted by the City of Venice and inaugurated on March 26, 2007. Since 2017 the Foundation has organized the Luigi Nono Festival, in its latest editions extended to the entire month of November. A self-financed festival that includes dance events, theater, collaborations with high schools and students, readings, film screenings, and concerts of ancient, classical, modern and contemporary music, all always related to themes dear to Luigi Nono and that marked his life and artistic production. In recent years, relations with many Venetian institutions and cultural realities have been strengthened by organizing events and conferences together. This year’s edition is titled LISTEN and opens on Nov. 7 at the foundation’s headquarters in the company of Nuria Schoenberg Nono, president of the Luigi Nono Archive Foundation, and speeches by Massimo Cacciari, philosopher and founding member of the Luigi Nono Archive Foundation; Roberto Cicutto, president of the La Biennale di Venezia Foundation; and Alvise Vidolin, sound director and founding member of the Luigi Nono Archive Foundation.
