Fenice, Fondaco dei Tedeschi, Laguna Libre and the Splendid Venice Hotel for a dialogue between great concerts, with great artists.
Spring 2024 opens with the seventh edition of Jazz&, the jazz and contemporary music festival organised by Veneto Jazz that looks at contaminations and new sounds. The programme includes 13 appointments, with many young emerging and established musicians, indicating the new frontiers of an international music with open spaces, in which to experiment with different influences, from electronic to pop, from Latin to ethnic music. The invitation is from 23 February in the lagoon, in the best theatres and clubs of Venice and inland with a date at the Teatro Accademico in Castelfranco. “Yumi Ito, a Swiss singer with Polish-Japanese roots, is the neo-classical art-pop jazz icon of the festival, who well represents this edition built on innovative talents and projects,” says Giuseppe Mormile, artistic director of Jazz& and president of Veneto Jazz. “The programme hosts some classic artists such as Saverio Tasca and Aaron Goldberg, who re-invent themselves with daring projects, but also new recruits committed to exploring sounds and cultures. In short, the contaminations of jazz at its maximum power’. The festival is organised by Veneto Jazz in collaboration with Fondazione Teatro La Fenice, the Ministry of Culture, and the Veneto Region, with the patronage of the City of Venice and the Municipality of Castelfranco.
