Within the context of traditional Chinese culture, the term ‘scape’ can mean both ‘border’, ‘boundary’ and ‘spiritual realm’ available to human perception. The Chinese project uses the art language of new media to turn the two definitions into one concept of ‘man-technology-nature’. The art speaks of a symbiotic cosmic conscience. By traveling beyond the limits of the real, we can learn a universal way to look at ourselves and explore the possibility of designing a common future for humanity. Works by three artists and a group project cover the open area and the exhibition hall. Together, they compose the spatial narration at Meta-Scape.
