German artist Maria Eichorn (Bamberg, 1962; lives in Berlin) defines her work for the Biennale ‘accessible’, a piece of art that “can be experienced on site both conceptually and physically. Her artistic production often challenges commercial forms and engages in direct actions that subvert the logic of institutions with an almost procedural approach. Under accusation are the incongruities and the flaws of the economic-political systems that control values such as work, time, and individual and social freedom.
