The imposing painting by hyperrealist artist Chrispapita – 7×3 metres – dominates the minimalist space of the Guatemalan Pavilion and makes us reflect on the representation of the human body in society, its relationship, and its history. The title – Inclusion – highlights the values of multiculturalism – the founding ground of Guatemalan society, which knew how to learn from its history and was able to build and unite instead of destroy and push away. To accompany the painting, itself an homage to great Latin American mural painters such as Diego Rivera and José Clemente Orozco, a collection of videos produced by the cinema school of the Francisco Marroquín University.
