Four young artists – Ruth Gómez, Nuria Mora, Daniel Muñoz and Sixe Paredes – were inspired by the famous Altamira Cave in Spain with its prehistoric paintings to develop four different site-specific installation proposals. Inspired by this cave considered as a sort of Sistine Chapel of the Upper Paleolithic, each artist has built his own work in a room of the Palace. The installations expand on the walls, floors and windows of the fourteenth-century building. A set of micro-narratives linked to the personal territory of each artist, developed in a “third place” characterized by its own, peculiar history.
