The iconic Budapest Ethnographic Museum, built in 2022 by Marcel Ferencz as part of the Liget Budapest Project, is at the centre of the Hungarian Pavilion. Architect and composer Péter Mátrai created a sound cylinder that makes the relationship between the Museum and music audible, evoking the idea of a circle, in turn reflected in the building’s shape. Visitors will be able to see a scale model and find out more about the Museum’s collections thank to an animated short movie. App Motívumalkotó will allow us to create a personalized design drawing from a database of over a thousand decorations inspired by the Museum’s collection.
