In rural Mexico, the campesino is more than a place to play – it is a space for social, cultural, political aggregation for the population at large. Based on this assumption, the Pavilion recreates a natural-scale fragment of a repurposed basketball court as a privileged place for the enactment of decolonization practices in indigenous Mexican communities. The Pavilion’s immersive space welcomes visitors with installations, video, photographs, documentaries, radio programmes from Venice and Mexico City, and a film club meeting weekly in several cities around the world.
