In line with the theme proposed by Biennale curator Lesley Lokko, the Dutch Pavilion turns into an actual laboratory, a test bench for future-oriented design that is regenerative and circular. The exhibition comprises drawings by architect Carlijn Kingma (The Waterworks of Money), which translates a complex economic system into a spatial environment using water as metaphor. Water also becomes the experimental element of the project in the form of a rainwater collector housed inside the Pavilion.
