With the Swiss and Venezuelan Pavilions being adjacent, and given how close their respective designers – Swiss Bruno Giacometti and Italian Carlo Scarpa – were, the exhibition by artist Karin Sander and architecture historian Philip Ursprung shows the similarities in the design of the two Pavilions, a testimony of the affinity between the two architect friends. A spatial, professional, and personal closeness that will be the theme of a series of meetings at the Swiss Pavilion and at Palazzo Trevisan degli Ulivi, the seat of the Swiss cultural foundation Pro Helvetia and of the Swiss consulate.
