Aesthetics and materiality of shapes are inherent features of both art and architecture. Using an installation that adapts to the spaces of the Pavilion, five American artists and designers reflect on plastic as a unique, durable material of infinite shapes, inviting reflections on the several ways this revolutionary synthetic polymer, so deeply rooted particularly in the culture and economy of the United States, models and erodes modern ecology and urban environments.
