Journalist Anselma Dell’Olio is also a film critic and experienced filmmaker (Fellini of the Spirits of 2020 and Marco Ferreri: Dangerous But Necessary of 2017). In her latest film, she analyses the controversial, eclectic character of celebrated Italian director Franco Zeffirelli, investigating the remotest corners of his familial intimacy using archive footage that capture little known moments in Zeffirelli’s life and, even more so, the life of Gian Franco Corsi, Zeffirelli’s birth name.
