This collaboration between David Wengrow, one of the most respected experts on comparative archaeology and the author of The Dawn of Everything: A New History of Humanity, and Eyal Weizman, the founder of Forensic Architecture, which uses space to investigate conflict, crime, and human rights violations at the hands of police and businesses, aims to focus on the definition of ‘urbanization’ itself. Comparative architecture and forensic architecture both challenge the official narrative and propose counterarchives and new readings. This case study is Nebelivka, a city that existed 6000 years ago in the territory of modern Ukraine.
