JUNE CRESPO

BORN 1982, Pamplona, Spain
LIVES&WORKS Bilbao, Spain

June Crespo’s practice is a sensual analysis of the models of contemporary representation and a commentary on the real and symbolic dynamics that envelop the female body, as revealed by the magazines she uses to incorporate into her sculptural sets. Crespo’s interest in the concrete and physical conditions of the object/body, as well as the immaterial contexts in which it moves, questions the composite configuration of contemporary life: “my works are new entities, self-supporting elements that interact with the public in different ways or according to the way one wants to interact with them».
