PEOPLE Ryan Bollom (b. Spring, USA, 1979), DK Osseo-Asare (b. State College, USA, 1980)

The studio’s motto is simple: more with less. Bollom and Osseo-Asare are trained engineers, and it is technical precision that accompanies their large-scale vision. Foregrounding eco-systematic aspects in a broad sense, the two focus on the relationship between landscape, built environment and community with the strength of their dynamism. They believe that maximum performance can only be achieved in conditions of minimal stress and that the necessary radicality derives from construction. Their work encompasses both projects which are extremely intensive in terms of competence and ability, like their award-winning AMP in Accra, and the exact climate-responsive architecture found in several of their projects in the USA.
